FOUNDER

Hunter H. Martin, Jr. (1924 – 1997)

Hunter Martin was a 1950 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering. He was a Registered Professional Engineer and Licensed Land Surveyor in Kentucky, Illinois and Tennessee.

Mr. Martin’s career included:
  • Formation of numerous water and sewer districts throughout this area.
     
  • Development of innovative and alternative types of wastewater treatment systems.
     
  • Design of Kentucky’s first lagoon-type wastewater treatment process.
     
  • A major role in developing many subdivisions in this area.
     
  • Relocation of markers lost from old governmental surveys.

In addition to his career Mr. Martin was an avid collector of primitive tools. Pictures of some of his collection are included in Hunter's Workshop
