LAND SURVEYING
Hunter Martin & Associates, Inc.
is engaged in all types of land surveying and has served many
distinguished clients including railroad, grain companies, marine
companies, timber companies, insurance companies, power companies,
telephone companies, radio stations, highway departments, title
companies and legal firms as well as individuals. Some examples of previous Surveying projects
include:
Commercial -Surveying of 9,800 acres and blazing of all the
property lines in wooded and swamp land for a company buying land for
timber production. This was a total number of 36 tracts with the largest
single tract being a 3,640.2 acre island in the Mississippi River. -Subdivisions of property into residential lots
(up to 474 lots) and commercial tracts including planning, design and
layout of all lots, blocks, streets, curbs, gutters, water, sewers and
storm drainage. -Feasibility studies showing the unit costs
for developments of all types. -Land planning for commercial and
industrial development sites. -NFIP Flood Studies -Mining surveys to determine the location of
underground limestone quarries and to show the yardage removed from
underground and strip mines. -Marine surveys on navigable streams to
determine the location and depth of sunken barges and other objects. -Route surveys for State Departments
of Transportation, power companies and telephone companies. -Layout of directional radio
transmission towers to true North bearings. -Watershed surveys, hydrologic studies
and design of floodwater retarding structures (earth dams). -Construction layout for utility,
industrial and residential work. -Complete layout and grading of industrial
plants with numerous buildings, conveyors, piping, walks, site drives,
etc. -Ground control for aerial
photography. -Engineering surveys showing complete topography
(above and below ground) and all elevations for site planning.
Private -FEMA Elevation Certificates. -Land title surveys as adopted by the American
Land Title Association (ALTA) and the American Congress on Surveying and
